Failing in Originality is Greater Than Succeeding In Imitation

It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation.

– Herman Melville

What does that quote mean to you? To me, it means that there is more satisfaction in being unique, thinking outside the box, and paving your own way, even if it means facing new challenges and occasionally ‘failing’. In fact, version 1.0 of any project you undertake  is undoubtedly less polished or encompassing than version 10.0 of the same project or idea. By comparison, version 1.0 of any project is  unequivically better than version 0.0, or any version that never takes flight. Similar to poem, “The Road Not Taken” by Mr. Robert Frost, taking the road less traveled will make all the difference.
